The salted caramel hot chocolate is one of our favorite drink at Starbucks. Recently on Pinterest, we found a molten chocolate caramel cake recipe that looks quite decadent. I decided to see if I could recreate the taste in a martini. There are lots of different recipes for caramel martinis, chocolate martinis, and even salted caramel martinis. We tried a lot of them, then set out to create our own. Here is it!!
The Salted Caramel Chocolate Martini
1 1/2 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
1 1/2 oz. heavy cream
1 oz. Godiva Chocolate Vodka
Shake the above over ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed in salted caramel. Add a flourish of canned whipped cream to the top and cover with chocolate curls.
To prepare glass, rim in caramel sauce then dip in kosher salt.
The inspiration for this drink was found on Pinterest. This is the photo and you can click here to go to the website that posted the recipe. It looks wonderful!!
Yum…that chocolate cake with the caramel oozing out looks delish!
I know!! My daughter and I want to make it!
Yet another reason for me to look down at my belly and say, “Hurry up, baby!” Put this on the list for my “Mamma’s allowed to drink again” night out, please.
The martini has never looked so good … oh, except for all those other fabulously decadently delicious recipes you’ve posted over the last few months! I can just imagine what a party those tasting sessions must be!!!
Brilliant! Love this idea!
Heavy cream, huh? The good news about being lactose intolerant? I would never committ suicide with a weapon, but something like…that! Wow! I showed the photos to my wife and she said the same thing: how many lactaid pills would we need for that?!?
It certainly looks yummy, however.

Hmmm. You could try substituting the cream with Godiva Caramel Liqueur. We did that in one of our tastings and it was pretty tasty.
Thanks Jillian for your shout out. The martini does looks divine!

Thanks! I thought the same thing about your dessert! I can’t eat flour, so I’m going to have to figure out how to make a little different version of it!!
OMG! Divine!!
Thanks, Myndi!!
