It’s the holiday season here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos. Visions of HOT men and yummy cocktails are dancing in our heads.
It’s that time of year. Christmas shopping, present wrapping, decorating the house, and trying to bake all those treats that your mom used to make. Here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos, we think it’s important to enjoy the holidays. And we know what makes the holidays more enjoyable. Cocktails! So before you tackle wrapping that pile of gifts, take a few minutes to make yourself one. You will feel much more festive and way less stressed!
As you all know, I’m working hard on the sequel to my book, That Boy. I’ve been having a ball planning Jadyn’s wedding. If you’ve read That Boy, you know that Phillip loves gingerbread. This drink might just show up in That Wedding! Here’s Phillip’s favorite Gingerbread Martini.
In a shaker mix over ice:
1 oz Vanilla vodka
1 oz Gingerbread Liqueur
1/2 oz Kahlua
1 oz Whipping Cream
Dip your martini glass in graham cracker crumbs and garnish with whipped cream and a mini gingerbread cookie.
As much as we love the holidays, they can be a bit stressful. And sometimes this stress can have an adverse affect your sex life. Want a little pick me up? Try this cocktail! It’s made with AGWA, which is a liqueur made from coca leaves. (Coca leaves are also used to make cocaine.) I’ve read on the internet that this drink will give you a buzz that will make you feel both energized and seriously horny. I’ve ordered a case online. Can’t wait to test this out with Santa!! (All in the name of blog research, of course!)
2 oz. AGWA de Bolivia Coca Liqueur
1 oz. Citron vodka
Mix over ice, get buzzed, have some old fashioned fun.
If you love reading books about hot romantic guys, you’ll love Danny and Phillip in That Boy. Check out all the great reviews at Goodreads, or purchase it from Amazon.
Look for the sequel, That Wedding, in January 2012!!
YUM! I’m making that gingerbread cocktail for my book club. Now, if I could just get that Santa to stop by… he’s super yummy.
You get a Santa like that to show up the book club would all love you!!!
Thank you for showing off some good looking men and drinks to make. I know what I am doing this weekend. To express my gratitude, have this handy dandy Liebster Blog Award
Thanks!!! And enjoy!
Jillian you KILL me! We need to stock pile that liquor (and the hot guy!)
You can also drink by yourself and just dream about the guy….
Those look so yummy!
Are we talking the drinks or Santa, baby?
Peter, that was going to be my comment! A case, Jillian? I guess you are planning to share with your #Wana gang! Thanks!
We really do need to have a #Wana get together. That would be so awesome!! Hope y’all are coming to Dallas for the DFWcon this Spring. That will be so fun, like and I’m sure we’ll all learn a thing or too as well. And also, I’m working on a June trip to Orlando for some of our MANday enthusiasts! Also!! I have been meaning to tell you I loved your book! It took me so long to get through it, not because it wasn’t great, but I have just been so slammed for time. Editing might just kill me. I think it’s because of stupid, um wonderful, ROW80. I set some pretty lofty goals for myself and now I’m killing myself to reach them! But! Your book was amazing. Loved reading the stories of their lives. I really like reading books about real people. How the deal with the happiness, sadness, triumphs and failures in their lives. I love how all the women were friends for so long. Very cool!!
I’m still trying to work out a trip to the DFW conference. Cross your fingers!!!
That will be fun!! I hope it works out!!
Ordered a case LOL you are bad Jillian, very bad. 😉
Lotsa love at my house. Just in the holiday spirit and all!
Well now…I’d like to enjoy a little of both! They sound wonderful…yummy!!!
Your hubby is naughty. He’d probably especially enjoy the second one.
Gingerbread Martini….here I come!
I am licking my lips. I will be coming back to this on the weekend. 🙂
Woo hoo, Jillian! Great recipes 🙂 But where do you get THAT Santa?
I’d like to say I keep him under my chimney, but he’s just a hot Santa I found on the internet. I love the internet. Seriously.
Those sound yummy! I’ll have to give them a try. (Let us know how the second one comes out 🙂 )
Will do!!
That Gingerbread Martini sounds FABULOUS! I think I may have to try it very soon! Thanks!
It’s super yummy and easy. Lots of gingerbread martinis call for a simple syrup made with gingerbread seasonings, it’s way too complicated!
