You know, being friends with two cute boys does have its benefits. There’s Danny. Danny is a golden boy in every way. He has dreamy blue eyes and blonde hair that always looks perfect, even when it’s windblown or been stuck under a football helmet. He’s the boy every girl crushes on. The boy I get into trouble with, the boy I fight with, the hot quarterback no girl can resist, not even me. Being with Danny is like being on an adventure. He has a bright, contagious smile and abs to die for. He’s pretty much irresistible. Read More . . .

  1. I read That Boy last year or maybe the year before, I loved it so much I read That Wedding straight after. Only just discovering a third book was written I quickly read that one too. Being very young myself I could relate a lot to the first book and was concerned I would find it harder to enjoy the other books; but that was definitely not the case. That Baby I thoroughly enjoyed and, even being just 16, could relate to Jadyn too-even though I have not experienced half the things she did. The end of the book moved me very much and I was an emotional wreck throughout the last 30 pages. These books are by far my favourite books I’ve read.
Also does anyone know if/where I could get physical copies of the books (because I want them with me forever) xo

    1. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the That Boy series. The paperback copies are available on Amazon. Usually you can find them in other places as well, like Book Depository, Books a Million, etc. And most bookstores can special order books for you.

  2. Stayed up till the early hours finishing That Baby. Had to know how it ended after reading the blurb and the authors warning at the beginning of the book. Funny, sad, frustrating- wtf happened to sweet Lori- wanted to bi&ch slap her; but definitely a LOT more angst than the previous 2 books. I honestly did not know how it was going to end-had me crying. A wonderful end to a much loved series!!

  3. I just finished That Baby and I was sad for it to end. I was wondering if you would be writing a book about **spoiler removed**. I just don’t want it to end!

  4. Hi Jillian!
I was just wondering what age you think That Baby would be appropriate for.
    Thank you so much!!

  5. Hi Mrs. Dodd,
My daughter showed interest in reading your books. I am concerned she is not old enough to read them. A few of her friends have read your That Boy series, but my daughter is not as mature as they are.
If you could please let me know what age the That Boy series would be appropriate for, that would be splendid.
    Thank you so very much.

    1. I really think that depends on the maturity of your daughter and what you think. My daughter got to read That Boy at thirteen. That Wedding and That Baby I’d say 15 and up. There is sex in both books but it is fade to black. There is also cussing and the f-word in both books as the characters are in their early twenties. Whenever I question a book for my children, I read it first myself. But I love to read 🙂

  6. Please don’t kill off jj I’ve been waiting years for this last book and for them not to get their HEA would be the worst ending. I love all the important characters and want to see them happy! they’ve already gone through enough!!!!

    1. I can tell you that the book ends on a happy note. And there is an epilogue at the end where you can see Phillip is happy 🙂

    2. I remember reading these books a few years ago also! She keeps saying Phillip will be happy & I’m just hoping JJ is alive! The #saveJJ is killing me. She has to be okay!!!!! They need there happily ever after!!!!

  7. My first Jillian Dodd book was approximately 12 hours ago with That Boy. It was very quickly followed by That Wedding. Twelve hours of laughing, cursing, bawling my eyes out, and finally clutching my Kindle to my chest with heartfelt sighs. Do not tell Melissa Foster, but I think Phillip just took over Hugh Braden’s spot in my heart (which was seriously challenged by Nate Braden just last week.)

Living on the Kansas side of the Kansas City area, with a dear brother in law from Exeter and Lincoln, as well as a friend of my son who played football for the Huskers, the familiar settings also stole my heart. I leave you with promises of reading many more of your books, and one of my favorite sons, which played in my head while reading Wedding. (Now I must tend to my other half whom I have neglected for Phillip.)

    1. Thank you for the video link! I grew up in Nebraska, am a HUGE Husker fan, and we lived in the Kansas City area for six years. Even before we lived in KC, my husband and I celebrated our December wedding anniversary with trips to KC to see the lights, so it holds a special place in my heart too. (We’re big Chiefs fans too!) I”m so glad that you enjoyed the series!! That Baby is coming in just a few weeks, so hopefully you will enjoy that story as well.

  8. I truly love this series. I love Danny, Jj and Phillip. though i’m still reading it. Great job Ms. Jillian. It gives me shiver down my spine 🙂 Godblessyou.

  9. I’ve read all of that boy series. I’ve loved every single word of all of them you are an talented author and these should be made into movies that would be extremely awesome. I’m going to start reading all the rest of your books every one. I love you. You are such an amazing author.
